The spirit of "Lulu"

Aloha nā hoahanau, let us gather in the spirit of "Lulu", our cherished Hawaiian expression for tithing, the gifting of one-tenth of our blessings back to our beloved Ke Akua (God). This practice, steeped in our faith, is our way of expressing profound mahalo (thanks) to God for the countless pōmaikaʻi (blessings) He bestows upon us.

As it is written in the book of Malachi 3:10, our Lord communicates to us about tithing, declaring, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." This scripture invites us to act in faith, give with a spirit of generosity, and watch in awe as God unfolds miracles in our lives.

So, when we touch the "Donate" button today, let's remember, each act of giving is an extension of our aloha, one heart reaching out to another. It solidifies our 'ohana (family) in faith, enriches our church’s mission, and lets us partake in God's majestic work of sharing His aloha worldwide. Mahalo nui loa for your spirit of generosity and dedication. Your Lulu, your tithes, are transformative. Let us press forward, witnessing the flow of Akua's love and how it blesses many through our acts of giving.
