Women’s Alliance

Aloha Mai!

Aloha, my dear wahine (women). I invite you to the Women's Alliance at Kāneʻohe Congregational Church, a haven where we gather as sisters under the nurturing Hawaiian sun. Here, we form a strong 'Ohana (family), our lives intertwining as intricately as the woven lauhala leaves. Deeply grounded in the richness of our beloved Hawaiian culture, this alliance serves as a guiding lighthouse, illuminating our path through life's turbulent waves and tranquil waters alike.

My cherished sisters, we are the guardians of our kūpuna's (ancestors') wisdom and the molders of our keiki's (children's) future. Our gatherings mirror the hālau of ancient Hawai'i, the traditional schools where knowledge was bequeathed from one generation to the next. We immerse ourselves in the teachings of the Bible, and through prayer and heartfelt discussions, we uncover their harmony with our Hawaiian legacy. Alongside these divine words, we learn from the whispers of our islands, reminding us of the Creator's love and encouraging us to embody Mālama 'Āina (caring for the land) and Lōkahi (unity) in our daily lives.

Within the nurturing embrace of our Women's Alliance, we ignite the light of Aloha, cherishing each spirit that joins us. This alliance is more than a gathering; it's a shared journey of faith that flourishes like a robust koa tree, deeply rooted and reaching towards the heavens. As we journey along this spiritual path, we are not alone but are hand in hand with our sisters, our 'Ohana. We stand as not only followers of Christ but also as the heartbeat of our homes and the backbone of our community. In the Women's Alliance of Kāneʻohe Congregational Church, we, as wahine, stand together, embodying strength, faith, and love - a living testament of God's grace and the spirit of Aloha.
